The more-or-less round fruit is covered by a smooth green , yellow , orange and brown skin , depending on the variety . Tangerine has a thin , loose rind , which is easily removed by hand . The taste ranges from very sour to sour and very sweet to sweet , depending on the variety . Greatest production is from August to December . They supply carbohydrate , calcium , iron , phosphorus and potassium . (The fruit is approximately 7 cm. om diaeter.)
